Metso will supply a cooking plant rebuild and pressure diffuser to Donghae Pulp's Onsan mill in Ulsan City, South Korea. The value of the order id EUR 5.75(USD8.04) million. Start-up for the equipment is scheduled for end of October 2010.

The modernization of the cooking plant is the second stage of an expansion project of the mill, which seeks to increase annual production to more than 1,400 tons of pulp per day, or about 500,000 tons per year. The mill uses mixed hardwood as raw material.

Since Itsestablishment in 1874, Donghae Pulp is the only hardwood pulp mill in South Korea with an anual production capacity of 425,000 tons and plays a major role by supplying approximately 20%o of bleached kraft pulp demand in South korea.
